At Hannah’s Southern Paws Rescue, saving dogs is more than just a mission—it’s a ministry. Founded by Hannah Fugitt, the rescue is a tribute to her father, a Sunday school teacher who taught her the power of love, kindness, and second chances. Inspired by his teachings, Hannah believes that dogs are a reflection of God’s love, reminding us of the unconditional loyalty, forgiveness, and compassion we strive for every day.
Since becoming an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit in January 2023, we have rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed over 300 dogs. Based in Dallas, Texas, we are an all-breed, foster-based rescue that welcomes dogs of all ages, adopting both locally and out of state. Every dog in our care receives veterinary treatment, vaccinations, microchipping, and any other necessary care before finding their forever home.
Beyond our own rescue dogs, we are deeply committed to helping shelter dogs. We spend countless hours networking with local shelters, advocating for at-risk dogs, and bringing them to our adoption events to increase their chances of finding a family. We believe rescues and shelters must work together, united in the same mission: to save as many lives as possible.
Your support is vital to our mission. There are many ways to be the miracle these dogs are waiting for. Please consider Fostering, Adopting, Volunteering or Donating today.
